Full re-roof and structural roof repairs

A full re-roof in Marpool, Heanor, including structural repairs after the existing roof was stripped back and defects were found beneath the covering.

Once the old roof covering was removed, a snapped purlin, missing wall plate and dropped rafters were found. These were replaced and strengthened to support the weight of the new tiles, together with new valley boards.

The roof was then fully renewed with a high-quality breathable membrane, treated laths, bird-stop and air-vent eaves support trays, Marley Mendip tiles, dry verge caps, new leadwork and a traditional cemented valley.
