Larger Velux window replacement

A leaking Velux window in South Normanton was replaced after the existing unit had failed around the outside of the frame.

The customer also wanted to bring more natural light into the loft room, so the original window was removed and the rafters carefully altered to create a larger opening.

A new timber frame was formed using 4x2 timber before the larger Velux window was installed and fully flashed into the existing tiled roof.

The larger window has significantly increased the amount of natural light entering the room while resolving the original leak.
